Anne's paintings find their birth place in memory and in her very personal connection to a sense of place

Elaine Foster-Gandey Art Gallery
I was very happy to have been invited by Elaine to show my semi abstract paintings of water reflections at her new gallery in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, for her ‘Brave New World’ show.
The Private View commenced with a selection of readings, poems and performance poetry from artists in and around the South West.
We were treated to an array of semi abstract art works that included paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculptures, the evening was a celebration of spoken word and visual art honouring our connections to nature. The generous sharing from all the artists fostered an enthusiastic social occasion that promised further collaborations into the future.
Homeframe Gallery
Delighted that my woodland scene paintings are currently on show at the Homeframe Gallery, Union Street, Plymouth. They sit among a fusion of paintings displayed in a salon style, with a variety of works from a number of local artists. The gallery building boasts a living wall which is an art work in itself and is in close proximity to the historic Royal William Yard.

Water and its reflections can be a mesmerising experience. Whether coming across a woodland pond, a free flowing river, a vast open lake or watching the rhythmic waves on a beach.
I am physically drawn to the verticality of an orderly forest; even more so to the chaotic lines of an ancient oak glade.
